Privacy Policy

HillSteps is a small, independently-run learning platform. This policy describes what we collect and why, in plain language.
What we collect
- Account data — your name and email, from whichever sign-in method you use (Google, GitHub, or email).
- Learning activity — lesson progress, quiz results, XP, streaks, and belts earned.
- Submitted code — the code you write for practice tasks, so it can run in the grading sandbox and be shown back to you.
How we use it
Solely to run the learning platform itself: tracking your progress, grading your practice tasks, and showing you your own history. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your submitted code to train any third-party model.
Who can see it
Only you, and whoever operates this platform. There is no public marketplace, no recruiter access, and no data sharing with advertisers.
Your code's execution
Practice-task code runs in an isolated, network-disconnected sandbox purely to check your work against the lesson's tests. It is not shared, published, or used for anything beyond grading and showing it back to you.
Deleting your data
